Privacy Policy

Information you provide:

• Email address, display name, and username during registration
• Profile information (bio, avatar, banner image)
• Authentication credentials (stored in hashed form; we cannot read your password and do not want to)

Information generated by your use of the Platform:

• Interaction data: likes, re-chits, follows, bookmarks, poll votes
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration, device type, browser information
• Dimensional zone identifier (your registered access zone, assigned during account creation)
• Temporal access pattern (the time-relative frequency of your Platform use, adjusted for local drift variance)

Information we do not collect:

Ambient frequency signatures, biometric data, gravitational orientation, prophetic affiliations, or the contents of your other browser tabs. Our analytics platform does log whether you accessed the Platform while grounded or non-grounded, as this affects rendering performance. That is the extent of it.

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform
• Deliver content through dimensional routing infrastructure
• Comply with the Municipal Digital Conduct Ordinance and O.O.P.S. quarterly reporting requirements
• Generate anonymized, aggregated platform metrics
• Detect and prevent violations of our Terms of Service
• Communicate with you about your Account (only when necessary; we are not going to email you about our newsletter)

We do not use your data to build behavioral profiles, predict your preferences, or serve targeted advertisements. Our feed is chronological. It shows you what was posted, in the order it was posted, adjusted for dimensional transit latency. If you find it eerily relevant, that is a coincidence.

We share your information with:

• Service providers who assist in Platform operations (hosting, analytics, dimensional routing), all of whom are contractually bound to process your data only as directed
• Regulatory authorities, when required by law, including O.O.P.S., the Municipal Digital Conduct Authority, and any successor agency — of which there have been four since 2019
• Law enforcement, in response to valid legal process from courts of competent jurisdiction

We do not sell your data. We do not rent your data. We do not barter your data for goods, services, or regulatory leniency.

• Account data is retained for the duration of your account’s existence and for 90 days following deletion
• Interaction data (likes, follows, re-chits) is retained for 36 months or until the next scheduled dimensional audit, whichever comes first
• Usage and analytics data is retained in anonymized form indefinitely

In zones experiencing active temporal drift, retention periods may be functionally longer or shorter than stated. In one documented instance, a user’s data was retained for both longer and shorter than 36 months simultaneously. Our compliance team has asked us not to discuss this further.

We use cookies. They are small data files stored on your device to manage sessions, remember preferences, and support basic analytics.

They are not sentient. If a cookie on your device appears sentient, clear your browser cache and contact support.

We do not use tracking cookies to follow you across other platforms, dimensional zones, or past versions of yourself.

You have the right to:

• Access your data by requesting a copy through your Account settings
• Delete your Account and all associated data
• Export your data in a standard machine-readable format
• Opt out of non-essential analytics cookies through your browser settings

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@chatter.d7 with your request and registered email address. Please allow 30 days for processing, or longer if your request was routed through a zone experiencing administrative backlog, which statistically is most of them.

If you have concerns about how your data is handled and our response is unsatisfactory, you may file a complaint with the Bureau of Dimensional Compliance at the address listed on their website, assuming their website is currently accessible in your zone.
